The Human Resources Director will serve as a key member of the Range & Aerial Operations division and will promote and implement Human Resource values by planning and managing HR programs. This position reports into the SVP, Human Resources and the divisional SVP. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive. This position will partner closely with other departments within the Company.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Plans, directs, coordinates, and develops Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs which may include any combination of the following functional areas: Benefits and retirement, Compensation, Staffing, Training and Employee Development, EEO, Labor and employee relations, and HRIS.
  • Develop key objectives for the HR function within the Division to support company business strategy.
  • Plans for future events to the extent that information can be made available with respect to personnel needs, personnel security requirements, additional staffing, and placement priorities.
  • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions, analyzing information and applications.
  • Manages within the Corporate defined benefit and retirement programs for the division, works with employees and health care agencies to resolve benefit issues, tracks divisional benefits programs, and act as a liaison between Company and insurance companies and other agencies.
  • Plans, directs, and/or administers any combination of the following compensation programs within the corporate compensation framework: job definition, analysis, and evaluation, compensation structure design, incentives, performance management, compensation budgets, expatriate compensation, and market analysis.
  • Plans, directs, and/or administer any combination of the following staffing programs: internal and external job posting and recruiting, minority recruitment and placement, recruiting advertising, relocation, and applicant flow tracking.
  • Determines training and development needs, develops programs internally or acquires services externally, and tracks training participation
  • Participates in the establishment of EE0/Affirmative Action programs to ensure compliance with federal state and local laws and regulations and diversity goals, work with Corporate to investigate and resolve EEO issues, and complies required EEO/Affirmative Action reports.
  • Ensures the maintenance of employee personnel records both in personnel files and in the HRIS database.
  • May Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines, communicating and enforcing organization values.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • 10+ years diversified HR experience of which 6 years HR management experience is preferred.
  • DoD Secret Clearance or higher
  • Proven track record of effectively partnering with Senior Management.
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
  • Effective, versatile and action oriented.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience using and understanding the concepts of HRIS. Workday preferred.
  • Position may require travel.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
