Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a Intelligence Collection Strategist to support the DIA Office of Counterintelligence in Quantico, VA. The Collection Strategist applies expertise on intelligence collection systems, capabilities, and processes to produce full scope collection strategies for war-fighter high priority intelligence needs.

Essential Duties:

  • Conducts necessary actions to assesses, manage, and integrate information to support planning for DoD, DIA, or CCMD CI and HUMINT programs, functions and mission activities, and provides recommendations on the integration of CI and HUMINT activities for combatant command strategic, operational, contingency, crisis and exercise planning.
  • Create or refine multi-INT collection strategies that determines which collection platforms, INTs, and techniques are required to address the identified intelligence gaps
  • Research and identify alternative collections strategies, assess the feasibility of strategies.
  • Research the current states of the operational environment in the context of the intelligence problem (e.g., current collection posture; key target characteristics such as range or urgency; battle space factors such as threat, terrain, or weather; and leadership guidance).
  • Assess the existing asset inventories to select the best asset to meet collection requirements based on capability, reliability, and availability.
  • Use intelligence disciplines to improve confidence in finished intelligence through cross-cueing of sensors, corroboration of intelligence and mitigating collection capacity shortfalls.
  • Monitor the collection enterprise architecture to identify gaps or shortfalls in current and potential capabilities.
  • Perform periodic evaluation of collection management processes to ensure they are useful and provides reliable and valid intelligence.
  • Collaborate with collection managers and other stakeholders across the Intelligence Community (IC) in order to develop multi-INT strategies and coordinate activities across organizations. Participate in creating or refining a multi-INT collection strategy that determines which collection platforms, INTs, and techniques are required to address the identified intelligence gaps.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a U.S citizen.
  • Must possess a current TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experiance and at least 4 years of job-related experience.
  • Graduate of an in-residence DoD / IC collection management course.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience utilizing DoD and IC collection platforms / sensors.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the intelligence collection capabilities, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED), and planning tools.
  • Full understanding of the Collection Operational Tasking and Reporting system, Collection Operations Policy, Oversight Requirements and tasking authorities, to include HUMINT and HUMINT related activities.

  • Polygraph preferred.
