This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2021.

The Manager – Sec Ops Intel is part of the Global Travel Safety and Security Intelligence Operations within Verizon’s Corporate Security. This role is to support program design, engineering, implementation, and day to day operational functions. These operational functions include global intelligence gathering, processing, assessment, reporting, and response to events of relevance to Life and Safety, physical infrastructure security, and brand equity protection. The roles and responsibilities of the position includes the following:

  • Identify accurate, reliable, and timely global security intelligence data using open source intelligence (OSINT), partner information, company information, and other research methods to support decision making process.

  • Gather relevant global security intelligence related to Travel Safety, Personnel Protection, and Physical & Environmental Security.

  • Monitor and analyze geo political, environmental, structural, and travel related situations of risk to personnel, facilities, and events.

  • Combine multi-source intelligence information to produce operationally relevant intelligence, threat assessments, and impact analysis.

  • Compile, produce, and disseminate high quality intelligence products for situational awareness to include briefings, messages, reports, and publications.

  • Communicate accurate, concise, and timely information to appropriate groups of individuals at all levels of the company.

  • Manage incident or crisis event response through triage, resource engagement, mitigation, and root cause analysis.

  • Support regional security teams by providing developing, trending, imminent, and active threat security intelligence reporting.

  • Manage Global Travel Security Due Diligence program as it relates Export Control, Country Risk, Technology/Device Risk, Payroll/Taxes, and other stakeholder relationships.

  • Develop and manage information related for Global Travel Security, containing critical travel information, government warnings and relevant security awareness information for expatriates and international travelers.

  • Manage Global Travel Security duty of care platform to include traveler checklists, country overview, country risk information, traveler briefings, pre-trip notifications, security incident alerts and communications, and travel emergency response.

  • Provide travel agencies with Verizon country travel restriction information and warnings.

  • Monitor and report all employee travel and correlate any identified travel risk or situation.

  • Manage global travel incidents and emergency response.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Must be a current participant of Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2021.

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in security & intelligence operations, investigative research, international relations/operations, security briefings, crisis management, or related field.

  • Experience with Open Source Intelligence and creation of written analysis and assessment reports.

  • Knowledge of global geopolitical issues and regional specific threats.

  • Project management experience.

  • Experience in crisis management and incident response.

  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Active security clearance.

  • Business Continuity Management experience.

  • OSINT analytics platforms such as Dataminr, Sprinklr, NC4 Signal, or similar solutions.

  • Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate highly complex findings to focus on the critical issues and actionable opportunities.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking skills, and problem solving skills for proactive or early threat detection and incident management.

  • Writing and communication skills.

  • Time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize.

  • Proven ability to work seamlessly in an agile and heavily interactive project driven environment.

  • Ability to work under high pressure situations.
