Senior Logistician, System Sustainment and Management Analysis
This position performs System Sustainment and Management Analysis - Senior Logistician duties supporting Product Support Manager, Multi-Mission Protected Vehicle Systems, Program Manager Transportation System, Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support.
Primary duties include developing or authoring (utilizing guidance in AR 700-127 and 700-142) Logistics related acquisition documents. For example, these documents may include:
Life Cycle Sustainment Plans
Depot Source of Repair
Core Logistics Assessment
Core Depot Assessment
Diminishing Manufacturing Source and Material Shortages
Product Support Business Case Analysis
Product Support Analysis
Item Unique Identification Implementation plan
Other logistics related acquisition milestone documents
Additional duties may include:
Work with the logistics managers to train/explain how to write logistics documentation, while taking the lead in authoring the documents.
Cross functional (e.g., engineering, supply, and production) analysis to verify execution of platform requirements.
Programmatic technical research and technical analysis on PEO Fleets to assess part commonality to inform vehicle reset and FMS case requirements.
Identify and develop recommendations for the full utilization of existing stocks that otherwise would not be utilized and likely be destined for disposal.
Logistics, maintenance, repair, sustainment, reliability, supportability, and vulnerability analyses.
Training analysis and development.
Cost analysis and assessments (e.g., Level-of-Repair Analysis (LORA).
Long-Range Investment Requirements Analysis (LIRA).
Capabilities analysis and assessments (e.g., operations concepts and functional capabilities for new and existing systems).
Business Case Analysis (BCA).
Development and analysis of change proposals for ongoing or future insertion of advanced materials or technology).
Utilizing logistics databases to look up system information.
Travel: Travel may be required, and is estimated at 5% travel (which may include three deport trips annually.)
This position is at a client site but may have an option for hybrid/remote work. Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables.
Security clearance: a background investigation may be required for employment, and up to a SECRET may be required (and sponsored) following employment.
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years conducting with military logistics operations in Government Acquisition programs performing the items listed in the description. A good understanding and skills of Microsoft tools.
Associate's degree and 20+ years of experience with military logistics operations and management, Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience with military logistics operations and management, or 25+ years of experience with military logistics operations and management in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
20+ years conducting military logistics operations Government Acquisition programs performing the items listed in the description.
Bachelor's degree and 20+ years of experience with military logistics operations and management.
