Maintenance Planning Supervisor

The Planning Supervisor position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of Planners and assisting in the development and implementation of project schedules.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

  • Supervision and development/training, of planners.

  • Ensures that the Planning Organization attains objectives, is in compliance with policy and priorities, is effectively coordinated and technically adequate, and is responsive to upper level management guidelines.

  • May develop work packages and work instructions to support maintenance work activities.

  • Monitors assignments to ensure that they are within the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Coordinates timely development of work packages to support the project schedule.

  • Assists in the analysis of potential delays in schedule.

  • Ensures work control documents are in compliance with project directive documents.

  • Assists in the determination of work priority and establishes workflow processes.

  • Reviews work performed by Planners for attainment of objectives, policy compliance and priorities and technical adequacy.

  • Ensures all safety and environmental guidelines are followed without deviation.

  • Acts as an On the Job Trainer/Mentor for the WTP Operations Maintenance organization personnel.

  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision and development/training of a group of planners

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

Amentum has joined with Bechtel to create an LLC, known as the Waste Treatment Completion Company (WTCC) Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.

Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges, our community provides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED plus 10 years of related experience. Two years’ experience in a leadership role and 8 years of work control document development experience in a plant maintenance environment, including troubleshooting, corrective or preventive maintenance, and materials requisitioning. Technical writing/editing and verbal communication skills are essential to this position.

OR

Associates Degree in Business Administration or related technical degree or Journeyman Level Qualification and 6 years related experience. Two years’ experience in a leadership role and 4 years of work control document development experience in a plant maintenance environment, including troubleshooting, corrective or preventive maintenance, and materials requisitioning. Technical writing/editing and verbal communication skills are essential to this position.

OR

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related technical degree and 4 years of related experience. Two years’ experience in a leadership role and 2 years of work control document development experience in a plant maintenance environment, including troubleshooting, corrective or preventive maintenance, and materials requisitioning. Technical writing/editing and verbal communication skills are essential to this position.

Work Control Document development experience in the DOE / ISMS / VPP environment is preferred.

  • Must achieve qualification within 6 months of assignment

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $107,462.78 - $169,763.77 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
