Overview:
Functions as the Aviation Maintenance Manager, Aviation Maintenance Division; under the direction of the AITD Division Manager. Oversees, manages, and directs all Aviation maintenance activities; directs and coordinates the program activities of aviation maintenance (AVIM/AVUM). Coordinates with the aviation logistics and supply chain management (SCM) requirements with the Logistics Manager. Coordinates with the Flight Operations lead for rotary wing aviation operations consisting of MDH-MD530F platforms. Ensures that maintenance functional activities and procedures among organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements. Additionally, serves as the organizations liaison interface with the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) for matters relating to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, airframes, warranties, and Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) activities. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures that maintenance functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements. Responsible for the establishment of maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform OR rates. Establishes maintenance organizational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in order to achieve stated OR rates. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities: Primary supervisor of all Maintenance Department personnel. Accountable for maintenance facilities and property. Oversees the maintenance budget management in support of the Division Manager, in conjunction with the Logistics Manager activities for related platform parts and spares. Establishes maintenance quality control processes, procedures, standards, measures; reports in support of a quality control inspection program for all maintenance and in coordination with SCM activities. Oversees directed inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation maintenance and supporting maintenance activities. Responsible for the maintenance training, currency and qualifications of assigned maintenance pilots, maintenance technicians and crew chiefs. Supervises the following organizational personnel: Aviation Maintenance Technician, Production Control Aviation Maintenance, Quality Control Supervisor Assigned Aviation Repair Personnel. Chairs a weekly coordination and synchronization meeting serving as the Production Control Officer with the Logistics Manager, Flight Operations lead and coordinates activities and requirements for maintenance operations support. Supports a professional development program in support of Saudization-localization. Ensures all maintenance operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a Safe manner. Other duties as assigned and or required by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Level: High School Diploma required. Bachelors Degree preferred. Military: Graduate of the Aviation Maintenance Officer Course (AMOC, Phase I) desired, AMOC, Phase II preferred. Warrant Officer Advanced Course preferred.

Experience: Former U.S. Army Aviation Maintenance Operations Officer, preferred. 15 years experience in U.S. Army Aviation Maintenance Operations required or 15 years civilian aviation management experience with minimum 3 years on MD500 series aircraft. Experience within the last 5 years required. Former US Army Aviation Chief Warrant officer preferred. Former Aviation Production control officer preferred. 15 years experience in US Army Aviation Operations required. Experience within the last 5 years required.

Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Demonstrated knowledge and experience of rotary wing Aviation operations inclusive of maintenance, Aviation logistics and SCM, flight operations and training. Certificates: Army Aviator certification with rating in AH-6 and/or Scout/Attack OH-58D/AH-64 desired. Prior military service as a senior Aviation Maintenance Officer or MTP desired. Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation. Demonstrated past performance and experience in leading a Production control organizational staff to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated past performance in the development of organizational plans, policies, and operational procedures. Ability to communicate both orally and written. Ability to effectively deal with people in the supervision of staff and team members. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possess a valid drivers license.
