Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Uses GCSS-Army to pull reports from the Document register and ESR and other maintenance related reports
- Research document numbers for cancelations, delays and long lead parts
- Contracts Item managers and vendor to expedite repair parts
- Generates SARS and all accompanying paperwork for long lead parts
- Compiles and maintains shipping status for all NMC parts
- Updates the ESR with shipping status and action taken in GCSS
- Complies with international and European shipping and movement regulations and laws
- Confers with department manager to determine parts requirement or substitute parts
- Update Maintenance manager on NMC parts cancelation and long lead parts shipping status
- Be able to deploy with the ECHA to other work sites
- Shift work, weekends, mandatory overtime (with proper notice given) and cross-training can be required in order to meet daily/weekly workload requirements
- Maintain a daily timesheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate
- Perform administrative duties for the Maintenance department, daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Perform other duties as needed
Minimum Requirements
Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- The 3 years of related work experience
- Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Considered an expert in the following Logistics Information Systems (LIS): Global Combat Support System (GCSS-A), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP)
- Current certifications on GCSS Army and LMP
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements
- Must be able to meet and maintain all LIS access requirements (Common Access Card)
Specialized knowledge and skills
- 2 years of experience using the LIW or a similar military parts tracking system
- DLA material tracker
- Working knowledge of I2Log and Fed Mall Parts Tracker and IGC
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military supply or parts expediter experience is preferred
