The Painter, Automotive Worker coats surfaces of motor vehicles such as automobiles, buses, and trucks with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices, removes old paint from vehicle, using liquid paint remover and scraper, smoothes surface with sandpaper and steel wool. The Painter, Automotive Worker roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure that paint adheres to surface, masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted, paints vehicle or specified portion of vehicle and may paint insignia, letters or numerals on vehicle surface using stencils.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must have 3 years recent experience and/or appropriate training in functions such as Inspection maintenance, repair and modification of powered ground support equipment used in support of electronic systems or sub-systems.
- Will perform various field level and limited sustainment maintenance actions on various ground support equipment. Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned tasks is mandatory.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Pre-employment drug screening is required.
- May be required to pass a U.S. Government background security check.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Candidate most be motivated to learn and work well with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current automotive painter and blasting experience
Compensation & Benefits:
Hiring Hourly Rate: $24.30
