Painter
Amentum is seeking a Painter to join our team in McLean, VA! Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Shift: Monday – Friday - 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, finish and paint walls, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment as assigned.
Prepare, finish and paint walls and ceiling, woodwork, and fixtures to include prep work and caulking.
Repair plaster and sheetrock walls to include tape, block, skim, and sand.
Determine the type of paint required for application to different surfaces.
Paint mechanical and electrical equipment.
Mix paint ingredients to obtain proper color and consistency.
Performs other job-related tasks.
Perform minor plaster work to include scratch coat and finish coat.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
A willingness to work shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
4 years of experience relating to painting, spray painting, plastering, and spackling.
High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
Ability to write correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Active government clearance Top Secret preferred.
