Mechanical Pipefitter
Job Summary
Amentum is searching for a skilled Mechanical Pipefitter to employ their trade on the island chain of Hawaii.
- Maintains a safe workplace program and ensures safety is the highest priority in the work place.
- Accomplishes hands-on pipe welding and welding tasks on maintenance and construction projects in Hawaii.
- Performs cutting, fitting/welding, connection, and installation of piping.
- Welds various types and sizes of piping.
- Advises the Foreman on job progress and material requirements.
- Accomplishes various projects utilizing design drawings, specifications and diagrams.
- Must be able to lift up to the safety regulation maximum.
- Works outside on various job sites in extreme cold weather conditions as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- High school graduate is required.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience required in pipe fitting and pipe welding work.
- Ability to read design drawings and diagrams is required.
- Must be willing and able to lift a minimum of 15lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a variety of pipe materials and history of certification in welding is preferred.
- Previous overseas experience
- Experience in multiple trade skills - (i.e. Carpentry / Plumbing)
- Journeyman Certification
