Job Summary

Responsible for the coordination of Engineering, Production Control, Purchasing and other applicable departments to achieve optimum utilization of facilities in meeting production schedules.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for proper planning and estimating of man-hours on Work Orders received in Work Management department.
  • Responsible for planning and project management civil, structural, pre-engineered building, utilities, roadways, airfield, water, and sewer planning construction trades.
  • Responsible for developing RFP/RFQ packages, independent construction cost estimates, field verifications, as well as construction phase oversight.
  • Coordinates tasks during the planning stages with other assigned crafts, engineering, and work requester.
  • Develop detailed schedules, material requirement lists and production plans for established Workflows.
  • Plans, budgets, oversees, and documents all aspects of the estimating and bid process.
  • Knowledge and hand on experience with of civil, structural, pre-engineered building, utilities, roadways, airfield, water, and sewer planning capital projects.
  • Must be familiar with federal government codes and standards such as UFC’s, AFI’s, IBC, ASCE. ASTM, NFPA and other related regulations.
  • Assists Planning Supervisor with the preparation of the near-teamwork schedules.
  • Plan and issue project schedules and material requirements.
  • Follow weekly work schedules and communicate developments and potential issues.
  • May be responsible for job planning to include task and work instructions, cost estimates, man our requirements, scheduling, and material requirements on Work Orders received.
  • Provides input to management regarding problems such as shortages, design changes, backlogs, and the like.
  • Responsible for coordinating all paperwork when a scope change is encountered by field personnel.
  • Prepare scope change requests in detail using establish forms for submittal.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field and 2-4 years project planning experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Excellent written communication skills: organizational skills and ability to perform detail-orientated work are required. Strong background in civil, structural, airfield, roadways, pre-engineered buildings, and Utilities preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license. May require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.


Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Position involves work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
