Exercise & Wargame Intelligence Planner

Amentum is seeking an Exercise & Wargame Intelligence Planner in Colorado Springs, CO to perform intelligence exercise planning for Combined Joint Task Force – Space Operations (CJTF-SO) led and/or supported exercises and wargames. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Job Duties:

• Participates in exercise and wargaming planning events, essential task list development, and conducts readiness assessments to ensure current and future CJTF-SO operations address threats posed by U.S. Space Command’s (USSPACECOM) strategic competitors.
• Captures lessons learned and best practices to guide and inform CJTF-SO, Combined Forces Space Component Command (CFSCC), and Joint Task Force – Space Defense (JTF-SD) training and readiness programs.
• Maintains integration with CJTF-SO and HQ USSPACECOM intelligence entities to stay up to date with current and projected space adversary threats and incorporates threat information and capabilities into exercise and wargame scenarios.
• In coordination with DoD, allied, and mission partners, provide intelligence exercise planning support to Master Scenario Event List (MSEL), Road to Conflict (RTC), and Training Objectives (TO) development throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and wargame planning events.
• Participate in exercise and wargame planning events from planning to post execution as directed by CJTF-SO J2.
• Assist in the development and refinement of Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) and Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) assessments
• Compile readiness assessments, lessons learned, objectives, and requirements to aid in the design of exercises and wargames and inform intelligence planning efforts.
• Perform continuous assessment of CJTF-SO and subordinate task force readiness; use assessment of exercise/wargame performance to develop training programs and inform Commander direction, guidance, and intent for future exercise/wargaming events.
• Maintain integration with CJTF-SO J2 by attending Operations and Intelligence (O&I) updates, working groups, Operational Planning Teams and observe CJTF-SO operations.
• Participate in CJTF-SO J2 planning activities to stay current on adversary indications and warning; attend subordinate task force and USSPACECOM targeting, analysis, and collection working groups/boards.
• Complete administrative duties and coordinate with action officers as directed to ensure tasks are completed within established timelines.
• Provide inputs to Monthly Status Reports to contract Team Lead

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility and a polygraph. Note: U.S citizenship is required for a Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelors degree and 5 years of direct experience working similar scope as well as experience in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
• Formal training in Intelligence Planners course or equivalent or be able to attend within 1 year from contract start date.
• Prior experience providing Intelligence support to Tier 1-level exercises throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle.
• Knowledge is mandatory of English composition, grammar, and spelling.

Compensation & Benefits:

$91,000-137,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
