We are now recruiting for a Senior Planner to join us permanently on our major projects located in Warrington, Cumbria, Reading or Bristol.

With this role you have the chance to join one the largest decommissioning project portfolios within the UK. Within this portfolio, Amentum are responsible for delivering a range of EPC and Decommissioning projects.

Purpose and Scope:

Responsible for applying sound judgment and experience to effective leadership of the project controls function on a project toward the accomplishment of project-defined goals and objectives. Project controls provides the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

1.Plan cost and schedule (work breakdown structure) metrics and tools, collecting performance data (installed quantities, expended labor hours, and other progress measurements for direct hire and subcontract work), tracking data (daily cost compilation and monitoring), analyzing (earned value, productivity, critical path and risk analysis), and reporting.

2.Integrate cost and schedule data and reporting with the companys accounting and management information systems to facilitate meeting company performance and financial goals.

3.Lead project cost and schedule review meetings.

4.Lead development of work breakdown structures and help insure that project coding is effectively used for all cornerstone applications

5.Review performance trends, prepares analysis and cost impact and monthly project performance reports, and recommends contractor invoices for approval.

6.Evaluate manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.

7.Oversee the production and maintenance of accurate project schedules. Expert understanding of schedule resource loading and leveling.

8.Assist the Project Manager in budgeting and managing incentive programs.

9.Develop, analyze and troubleshoot complex schedule logic relationships.

10.Establish and maintains customer relationships.

11.Develop and maintain project control systems. Assume responsibility for correct implementation.

12.Review and assess (as required) raw data that comes from project automated systems.

13.Serve as a key participant in customer and/or subcontractor negotiations.

14.Participate in staffing decisions for projects.

15.Ensure that a tracking database is developed and maintained to cross check subcontractor funding is aligned with work authorization and expenditures.

16.Review project change order and insure compliance with company/project policies and procedures.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience and at least 10 (ten) years of experience with engineering, procurement and construction projects and operating industrial facilities.

Requires up to 5 years of experience with cost, schedule and supervision responsibilities. Certification: Pursuit of the CCC (Certified Cost Consultant), CCE (Certified Cost Engineer), ICC (Interim Cost Consultant), PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) or EVP (Earned Value Professional) and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification is encouraged.

Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Position may require travel.
