Space Planner

Amentum is seeking a Space Planner to join our Operations and Maintenance team.

Scheduled workdays and hours may vary based on business demand. This position is responsible for administering the “Moves, Adds, and Changes” program for large (i.e., several hundred thousand square feet) manufacturing facilities housing hundreds of employees and contractors.

Essential Functions:

  • Use TRIRIGA to maintain data, update building layouts and run Space Detail reports
  • Conduct regular building audits for accuracy of furniture, people locations and building conditions.
  • Work with various business groups to forecast and negotiate space needs.
  • Meet with managers, employees, and groups to gather requirements for projects and lead execution.
  • Coordinate stacking plans and moves as related to projects and department requests
  • Act as a liaison between business groups and office move vendor.
  • Support Architects and contractors with measurements and design.
  • Manages furniture design standards and renovations.
  • Owns conference room information and coordination with business groups
  • Maintain site campus information and contact lists.
  • Manage furniture storage areas and guidelines for storage spaces.
  • Manage parking and exterior spaces.
  • Owns accuracy and standardization of signage.
  • Works with Site Services on prioritizing facility improvements and managing refresh projects.
  • Support maintenance and team activities and needed.
  • Local travel between buildings as necessary. Reliable transportation required.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, facilities management, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of experience in progressively responsible facilities projects and maintenance activities and: Two + years of experience in supervisory or technical roles related to Facilities Management or Industrial Operations & Maintenance.
  • Competency in TRIRIGA.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project).
  • Experience with the management of space dimensions and graphics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior Architecture or related field or related experience.
  • Experience in commercial interiors.
  • Experience in facility management support.
  • Ability to learn new software and processes quickly.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
