Day Shift Supervisor, Work Control

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent performs a variety of duties to enable full utilization of the automated work management system requiring a complete knowledge of the definitions, types of work documents and flow of work from receipt to completion. Incumbent supervises personnel under this department to include Production Control, Work Control, Planning Section, Planning Coordination with Shops and Emergency Repair Response Teams as applicable. Incumbent directly interfaces with craft personnel, project management staff, and Government Civil Engineer Staff on a daily basis. Incumbent has knowledge and is responsive to contract requirements for all annexes applicable to the primary contract.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Serves as technical advisor to the Chief and Deputy Chief of Operations for all matters relating to assigned functional areas.
  • Establishes unique work standards and implements methods and procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Manages Production Control, Work Control and Planning sections workflow for maximum efficiencies.
  • Oversees work schedules, requirements, and personnel resources to ensure contract requirements are properly met. Ensures employee compliance with safety, security, property and material management, time, and attendance.
  • Works directly with superintendents and shop supervisors to ensure direct scheduled work (Work Tasks…WT’s), and recurring work program are efficiently scheduled and executed.
  • Ensures accurate Air Force account codes, customer codes and reimbursement refund indicators are applied throughout work requirement cycle. Responds to customer inquiries concerning reimbursable charges, validating manhours, work processes, locations and materials as appropriate.
  • Oversees the Facility Managers Program in accordance with Performance Work Statement.
  • Conducts weekly In-Service Work Plan and oversees the Work Request Work Review Board agenda to ensure information is captured and presented to appropriate boards as required.
  • Compiles, coordinates, reviews, and processes a large range of contract required records, reports, and submittals, and provides other analytical information by extracting data from the work management system.
  • Acts as the main point of contact with customers concerning the status of all work documents such as service calls, minor work requests, and requests for detailed cost estimates and any revisions to all of the above.
  • Reviews, processes, and submits correspondence and maintain registers for tracking and validating Minor Work Conversions, Detailed Cost Estimates, Material Reimbursement requests, Delivery Order documents, and Standing work per contract requirements.
  • Maintains and updates key databases which are required to accurately process all work documents in the automated work management system.
  • Responsible for and reviews work order data for accuracy upon initial receipt from customer for service work documents prior to issuance to the shops and validates that labor and material requirements have been met upon close-out in the automated work management system.
  • Establishes Damage Control Center by direction as required in support of local exercises and real-world emergency response.
  • Supports, implements (where applicable), and enforces all project and corporate procedures, plans, regulations, etc.
  • Resolves disciplinary problems and refers serious problems to the assigned Department Superintendent with a detailed report.
  • Reviews and validates time sheets for all department personnel, to include tracking of all leave schedules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of all Work Control document processing, not only within own department, but also other support areas.
  • Harmoniously working with other ARRO employees and customers.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of all ARRO related matters

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Minimum 5 years mid-level supervisory experience directly over Civil Engineer Shops using IWIMS, ACES/IWIMS or NEXGEN database and supporting production control work elements.
  • Knowledge of Government work/maintenance control operations including but not limited to planning and estimating, workload scheduling and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Preferred:

  • 2 years’ experience working with Tririga or Next Generation Information Technology (NGIT)
  • 10 years’ experience working within USAF Operations Flights using IWIMS
