Job Summary

Oversee the Physical Security program function to include development and implementation of policies, programs and training that ensure Program compliance with applicable laws, established policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the physical security program and coordinate compliance at all operational locations.
  • Advise senior management and security personnel on the impact of applicable laws and regulations on the Program's operations.
  • Coordinate government interactions and compliance activities within the organization during and after audits initiated by government agencies. Conduct internal audits of security, at all facilities as appropriate.
  • Lead the management of the security training program; and monitor the effectiveness of related training programs
  • Manage cost, schedule and performance of functional requirements and provide input for various company planning processes.
  • Works with internal partners to develop effective strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities, maintain continuity of operations and safeguard the organization from security risks
  • Participate and attend project meetings and calls, functioning as the physical security expert and security point of contact and provides updates to the project team
  • Performs site inspections and provides oversight and guidance to vendors as needed
  • Work as part of a multi-functional management team to facilitate and oversee physical security requirements and actions in a dynamic mission environment
  • Conduct internal investigations, as appropriate.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of academic/technical/military training.
  • Dedicated Security Manager with 10-15 years of experience managing the physical security requirements, facilities, and geographically separated security forces. This experience must include managing Law Enforcement and Investigative Organizations.
  • Candidate must be able to support contingency and disaster recovery planning.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be eligible for Top Secret Security Clearance; must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to communicate company practices clearly and effectively with executives, clients, and employees.
  • Must be knowledgeable of computers and software.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be fluent in speaking and writing, using English language.
  • Very strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills. Strong written and oral presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work both collectively and autonomously.
  • Strong self-initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Ability to occasionally work in harsh conditions; outdoors and/or in extreme temperatures. Must be able to work outside a normal schedule, when needs arise.
