Project Manager (Assistant Program Manager Acquisition)

Key Role:

This position is an Assistant Program Manager Acquisition supporting a Product Manager (PdM) from Program Manager Transportation System (PM TS), Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS.)

Develop and update program milestone plans, schedules, and milestone required documents, including the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP). Develop documentation, material, and data for program reviews Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and briefings to include updating program documentation as changes occur and systems progress through the various life cycle stages. Develop reference architecture designs to include the creation of Operational Views (OVs) or other required Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) products; develop operational scenarios incorporating base camp variants that consider population categories, construction standards, and quality of life capabilities; and perform Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Logistics, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) analyses to recommend solutions that minimize risk. Analyze and prepare alternative cost and forecasting data plans based on requirements and develop recommendations for comprehensive solutions to improve schedule management, accounting, and internal controls over processes and systems for new or updated systems and platforms. Build and analyze budget models to aid in the development of alternative Government program budgets based on actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated spend plans, expense reports, and other factors as they relate to the systems analyzed. Conduct analysis of program and project management activities and develop project management plans, communications plans, schedule baselines, IMSs, WBSs, and risk management plans. This position is at a client site but may have an option for hybrid/remote work. Occasional travel may be required (up to 25% of the time but is typically under 5%). Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years familiarity with Project Management in Government Acquisition programs, including the following:

  • Monitoring activities in order to efficiently utilize resources throughout a projects life-cycle.
  • Providing oversight of acquisition projects to ensure that they meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Monitoring actions and/or projects as appropriate to ensure that resources are available in order to meet project time frames.

Clearance: Applicants are required to hold and maintain a Secret clearance.

Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience with military operations and acquisitions management, Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with military operations and acquisitions management, or 10+ years of experience with military operations and acquisitions management in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years conducting Project Management in Government Acquisition programs, including the following:

  • Monitoring activities in order to efficiently utilize resources throughout a projects life-cycle.
  • Providing oversight of acquisition projects to ensure that they meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Monitoring actions and/or projects as appropriate to ensure that resources are available in order to meet project time frames.

Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience with military operations and acquisitions management, Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience with military operations and acquisitions management, or 15+ years of experience with military operations and acquisitions management in lieu of a degree.
