Deputy Senior Security Manager

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Deputy Senior Security Manager will provide support to the Senior Security Manager in relation to organizational performance, budget oversight, procedural developments, operations matters and efficient service delivery assisting with the functions of the OASIS contract.

In addition, the Deputy Senior Security Manager is responsible for all security related management of Australian contract personnel.

  • In support of the Senior Security Manager provide leadership, strategic direction and management oversight of the OASIS Security team.
  • Operate as the Chief Security Officer for the purpose of DISP membership manage the reporting and requirements as per DISP membership. Have a directional understanding of the Defence Industry Security Framework and promote its values. Attend industry seminars and education workshops as identified.
  • Responsible for the management of personnel security functions, security education, as well as security briefings/debriefings and annual security awareness training for Australian personnel.
  • Management of security officer functions ensuring efficiency in operations such as: Incident investigation, coordination of site visits, escorts, official photography list, Group Authority List, various registers, DSAP and coordinate updates and status briefings for JSS/GOA as required.
  • Provide oversight and support to the management of the Security Monitor Program.
  • Develops and implements security departmental policies and procedures.
  • Manage physical technical security staff and projects.
  • Act as Senior Security Manager in the absence of the Senior Security Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in a related field, with 5+ Years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience or minimum of 10 years’ experience in Security related field
  • DISP Security Officer Course (able to obtain within six (6) months of hire)
  • DISP Security Risk Management Workshop (able to obtain within six (6) months of hire)
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, work without daily supervision.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrate ability to prepare/plan, conduct, and document investigations
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal agencies dealing with area of responsibility
  • Understand Risk Management Concepts
  • Understanding of classification management
  • Ability to identify applicable metrics, and capture them for Senior Leadership
