Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Manager will report to Program leadership and will be responsible for the performance of the work of full contract matters relating to the daily base operations within this contract. The Operations Manager will oversee all contracted base operations functions and respond to any requests of Program leadership and perform any other duties as assigned by the Program leadership team.
The Operations Manager will oversee and direct the day to day base operations areas while providing supervision, technical guidance, training and quality assurance for all support staff. Included in this function will be a full range of management duties including, but not limited to, planning, scheduling, and quality control. The Operations Manager shall provide an adequate staff of personnel with the necessary expertise to assure the performance of the work in accordance with sound and efficient management practices and to complete work in accordance with the time and quality standards in the contract.
The Operations Manager shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of three years (3) previous experience at a US Air Force Military Installation with similar mission/project in scope and nature
- At least one (1) year experience as a Facilities Manager or in Public Works
- CMRP from the Society of Maintenance Reliability Professionals or a CRL from the Association of Asset Management Professionals or other similar certification is preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired
- Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid US or local driver's license and US passport
- Ability to obtain/maintain DOD Secret Clearance
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment as required
- Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
