Amentum is seeking a Project Manager to provide for the implementation, management, and coordination of the various tasks necessary to support attorneys for the 175 cases/matters/projects. The Project Manager will oversee work related to all documents/data required in the case/project.

Document/data management tasks may include:

  • Document/data acquisition/collection,
  • Document/data management
  • Processing of hard copy and electronic documents/data, including culling by various means
  • Automated review such as technology assisted review and sampling
  • Document/data coding/indexing
  • Reproduction
  • The Project Manager is the Government's primary point of contact for all support for the case. The Project Manager will have frequent contact with the COR, Government Case Managers, trial attorneys, client agency staff, and sometimes even opposing counsel.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for planning and managing all support for the case, including monitoring workflow, progress reporting, identifying and assigning staff, budget development and tracking, coordinating technical/data processing and eDiscovery support, and obtaining other required resources.
  • Performs an active quality assurance role to ensure high quality work delivered on time.
  • Ensures that proper security is maintained overall project materials, in accordance with Department security procedures.
  • Coordinates with other Contractor components to deliver project support.
  • When operating out of a Document Center, the Project Manager's work may be subject to coordination or direction by the Lead Project Manager.
  • Further the Project Manager shall oversee/code/index certain bibliographic information such as document date, document type, document title, author, and recipient per the unit rate coding CLINs in the contract. This information shall be loaded, along with the document images and text, into a secure Web-based document repository to aid the DoS Project Leader and others such as expert witnesses to find documents.


  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location. Qualifications:
  • At least four years of progressively more responsible supervisory and management experience on major litigation support projects, including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing and eDiscovery support activities.
  • Requires expert knowledge of litigation support; outstanding writing skills; excellent oral communication skills; and excellent management skills.
  • Must be able to anticipate litigation support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing those needs.
  • Requires knowledge of the Government's data processing environment in which the work is to be performed, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, and internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as but not limited to Oracle, Relativity or other document review platform, and Trial Director.
  • Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources required.
  • Should be an expert user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware and document review platforms.
  • Undergraduate degree required. Law degree, advanced technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree preferred. Substantial significant experience may in some cases be substituted for degree requirement.

  • Multi-field, full-text, or multiple criteria searches
  • Boolean searches
  • Sampling
  • Early Case Assessment
  • Technology assisted review
  • Synonym and proximity searches using subsets of results
  • Stem searches to locate grammatical variations in search terms
  • Multi-level fuzzy searches to return inexact matches in imperfect OCR text
  • Search terms highlighted in results, with hit count and relevancy score
  • Nested searches to perform more complex searches by nesting sets of search criteria
  • Synonym searches that allow for customizing a Thesaurus for the inclusion of case specific terminology
