Do it here.What youll be doing...This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 2-2021.As the Supply Chain Innovation Manager (SCIM) you will be responsible for championing the introduction of new supply chain concepts, processes and models into Verizons 5G Supply Chain. You will partner closely with the Network Supply Chain and Device Supply Chains inventory, planning, and logistics teams to identify new transformational opportunitiesto accelerate our competitive advantages in supply chain delivery. The development of the 5G Global Supply Chain is a top corporate priority and the supply chain initiatives you develop will have visibility at the highest levels of Verizon leadership and will empower a world class supply chain organization.+ Drive the development of the new 5G supply chain, program managing the introduction of new processes, technologies, and operational models to integrate 5G inventory and services into Verizons Network and Device Supply Chains.+ Provide best-in-class perspectives in inventory planning, logistics (forward/reverse), and supplier management to recommend new operational model opportunities to Verizons operations and business unit teams responsible for 5G Supply Chain deployment.+ Partner with Verizons Network & Technology, Device Marketing, Network Supply Chain, Device Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and Corporate Systems Group to champion new 5G supply chain models.+ Measure ROI and create business cases for new 5G supply chain models to enable strategy alignment and implementation.+ Provide knowledge leadership to Verizon about supply chain operational models, translating leading models from various industries into the telecommunications space.+ Scour the startup landscape and identify innovative concepts that will benefit Verizon and work on introducing innovations appropriately.+ Champion supply chain skill advancement by identifying appropriate training.+ Travel to key conferences, supplier and provider facilities, and technology demonstrations to drill down in industry and supply chain trends.+ Partner with 5G suppliers and 3PLs to co-develop supply chain operational models.+ Executive reviews of corporate and industry intelligence.You have the ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures. You are someone that has excellent verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable in working up and across the organization. You are a strategic thinker that results in new ideas that drives the business forward.What were looking for...Youll need to have:+ Must be a current participant of Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 2-2021.+ Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.+ Six or more years of relevant work experience.+ Willingness to travel.Even better if you have:+ Masters degree or MBA.+ Technical degree in engineering, systems/IT, supply chain, and/or relevant technical discipline.+ Ten or more years of total work experience, including some in telecom and relevant industries; multiple-industry perspectives are a plus.+ Cross industry supply chain operations experience to develop a wide body of experience with supply chain models in different contexts.+ Retail supply chain experience.+ Experience or certification in Lean Six Sigma.+ Experience working in a tier-1 management consulting organization.+ Experience in the development and measurements of KPIs.+ Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.+ Proven track record for managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget.+ Strong presentation skills, including ability to create presentations using MS PowerPoint and experience presenting to all levels of an organization.+ Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including ability to conduct outside/inside research, analyze data, and use MS Excel effectively to develop models and drive analyses.+ Strategy, operational processes, and customer experience.+ Facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience.Equal Employment OpportunityWe're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
