Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for providing support across the functional area of Quality Assurance to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. The position focuses on ensuring the program complies with corporate, state, federal and local regulations, and contract requirements.

The position also maintains adherence to quality requirements established under ISO 9001 standards and provide support to functional areas in the development of process improvement.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance and support to functional area managers and supervisors to assist them in the interpretation of and compliance with quality related contract requirements.
  • Conduct special evaluations, quality surveys and audits. Compile reports and findings of surveys and audits for company officials for review and make action recommendations as required.
  • Maintain current files of all technical documents, instructions, procedures, and requirements necessary for implementation of an effective quality assurance program.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of quality assurance process and procedure.
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute an effective quality assurance and process improvement training program.
  • Oversee and maintain the quality assurance program record keeping and reporting system.
  • Plan and develop a comprehensive quality risk management program that includes appropriate mitigations of all identified risks.
  • Maintain knowledge of quality assurance process developments through reference sources.
  • Ensure compliance with all site’s environmental health and safety requirements.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ yearsexperience in progressively responsible Quality Assurance positions within the Government Services or related industries.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, process improvement models.
  • Familiarity with and ability to stay current in general industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to brief at all levels to include Senior Leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
  • Ability to adapt to change and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Positive outlook and willingness to collaborate with others to achieve business outcomes
  • Demonstrated customer focus
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the principles of workplace diversity and equity, and EH&S
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Quality Assurance Certification (Industry Recognised)
