Project Management Support Coordinator - Telecom

Amentum is currently seeking a Project Management Support Coordinator - Telecom to support an IT Managed Services program in Livermore, California. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.

You will be a part of a team that provides IT infrastructure service on modern telecommunications systems for data, telephone, wireless LAN, RF Microwave, and encryption capabilities to the organization with emphasis on securing and protecting information. In this role, you will provide project support with processes for managing and delivering services that are ITIL® conformant. We are looking for someone that has general business management and basic project management background, preferably with telecommunications and data center terms (e.g. “fiber optic cable”, “telecommunications carriers”, “UPS”, “generator”, etc.).

As a member of the team, you will:

  • Maintain documentation about telecommunications contracts, including contract durations, services provided, and bandwidth.

  • Schedule onsite activities with carriers, which may include installs, corrective maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

  • Assist with procurements and provide support for Client Delegated Representatives.

  • Interface with preventative maintenance vendors, Facilities, and telecommunications carriers.

  • Organize and publish information regarding schedules, contracts, and disseminate to the broader team.

  • Coordinate installation of cable plant including the development of schedules and tracking of milestones.

  • Ensure communication among stakeholder groups for various types of telecommunication projects.

  • Maintain action items, meeting notes, and other project artifacts in support of large telecommunication projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an Associates Degree and 3 years of experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 6 years of experience.

  • Must be able to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q clearance and maintain it for the life of the contract.

  • Experience supporting or coordinating projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DOE Clearance.

  • ITIL Foundation certification.

  • Experience leading IT teams or projects.

Compensation & Benefits:
