Overview:

Performs Aviation logistical support functions for the Vinnell Arabia Aviation Logistics organization for Class III (p) and Class IX (a). Ensures aircraft operational readiness (OR) rates are met by means of ordering, accounting, stocking, issue, transfer, and receipt of spares and consumable parts and equipment. Maintains and warehouses inventory and performs automated parts operations as well as packages materiel for transport. Ensures acquisitions of materials are consistent with specification outlined by the OEM. Must fully understand MILSTRP and FAA requirements for use of special tools and hardware that adheres to the proper metallurgical specification required. Must be able to read and comprehend aviation repair part catalogs, drawings and tolerances for Quick Change Assemblies and Line Replicable Units. Prepares material request packets, which include documentation and specifications associated with purchase request and purchase orders for requested supplies or services. Utilizes automated supply systems, STAMIS or G21 material request and inventory. Receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, issues, and delivers supply and equipment. Performs quality control inspection of all receiving and shipping functions of logistics for all classes of supply IAW with PWS and AS9110 Rev C. Coordinate diligently with departments, upper management and SANG Aviation to ensure processes and procedures are followed and logistics information is submitted in a timely and accurate and reflect real time data.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Ordering, receiving, inspecting, storing, preserving, packaging, part picking, staging and issuing materiel utilizing MAXIMO or other automated logistics systems with focus on Class III(p) and Class IX(a). Must possess knowledge and experience using stock inventory automation systems using bar codes, bar code scanning systems and bar code printers to establish locations; pick inventory, prepare repair and return shipments to OEM/SOR. Assembles aircraft part repair kits and provides customer service for issues/returns. Responsible for the reduction of data entry error rates in Maximo and error rates on Material Requests sent to Procurement Services Division (PSD). Responsible for managing all COS with focus on Class III (a) and IX (p). Possess operational and functional knowledge of Maximo as related to Supply and Warehouse operational functionality. Assists and understands the Storage Plan to ensure available space is utilized in the most efficient manner. Ability to read and understand Aviation Parts Manuals, drawing and illustrations that depict specialized parts and hardware used for Aviation specific applications. Relies on Aviation experience and knowledge to manage AOG and Hi-Priority requests for parts and hardware used on each Mission Designed Series of aircraft including; UH-60M, A6i, AH-64E, and MD-530FF aircraft. Receives and inspects highly technical Test, Measurement and Diagnostics Equipment to ensure proper maintenance and calibration services have been performed and that proper documentation validates these services. Trained and understands AS9110 Rev C requirements governing the management of Class III (p) and Class IX (a) Aviation repair parts and the proper forms revisions used to manage an AS9110 Certified Logistics Warehouse. Establishes and maintains an environmentally controlled facility for storing HAZMAT Class III (p) to ensure maximum shelf life and provide proper storage temperature. Forecast and reorders Class III (p) to ensure adequate supplies of POL is available to support the mission. Perform inventory cycle counts; research missing parts and report any discrepancies. Ensures Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR) are provided to vendors when materiel received have quality issues to include but are not limited to: incorrect quantity, nomenclature, allowable substitutions, packaging, documentation and any other notable deficiencies in quality as outlined is AS9110 Rev C. Prepare and maintain required forms, records, correspondence, reports, and files; ensure proper documentation for accuracy; meet on-time metrics. Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility; utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft and within the storage facility. Monitor aircraft time-change components schedule to ensure replacement components are ordered in a timely manner to meet the customer flying hour and maintenance requirements. Monitor the repairable exchange program to ensure all necessary documentation is complete as required. Ensure that all related parts supply operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. Analyze inventory levels and item demand to determine reorder levels to ensure stock availability and minimize inventory costs. Inspects materiel upon delivery to verify delivered materiel match order specifications; perform quality control; handle any delivery inconsistencies or delays; quarantine parts that fail inspection. Analyze and select materials for packaging based on durability and cost effectiveness to include HAZMAT and oversized/overweight items. Monitor and track Class III (p) shelf life to ensure critical consumables are on hand prior to expiration on on-hand quantities. Train customer personnel to develop and maintain an effective supply/parts management regime. Schedules training events; obtain instructional materials; ensures students are kept abreast of training requirements; perform clerical and administrative duties related to training and organizational development. Must possess or obtain a warehouse forklift license within 90 days of employment. Conduct Logistics On the Job Training, Utilizing Logistics OJT job books to train MNG soldiers. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities: Not Required

Minimum Qualifications:


Education Level:
Secondary school graduate certificate or equivalent years of relevant experience required; post-secondary education (i.e., Associate’s degree) preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of broad-based experience in the fields of supply, distribution, warehousing, and packaging required. Former US Army NCO (MOSs 92A, 92Y, 92Z) desired.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements: Aviation supply chain experience required. Must be proficient with stock inventory automation using bar codes, bar code scanning systems. Must demonstrate proficiency in understanding aviation parts and common hardware and specifications of special metallurgical hardware and requirements. Must understand the Civil and Military part numbering systems and their meaning and specific use. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Ability to supervise students and effectively; professionally communicate with the customer. Strong organizational and work management skills. Possess a valid driver’s license. US Army Aviation logistics/supply chain experience desired. US Army service school instructor or civilian equivalent teaching experience for logistics desired. Certificates: AS9110 Lead Auditor Training desired. Civilian and Military Aviation supply certification or civilian equivalent desired. Three (3) to five (5) years Aviation Technical Supply experience desired.
