Overview:

Responsible for the performance of maintenance in buildings, grounds and facilities in support of Customer Aviation Base Operations and Airfield. Requirements include custodial services, a variety of semi-skilled work in maintenance, repair and minor upkeep of various buildings. These requirements include but are not limited to minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, concrete and asphalt repair and the full range of custodial services associated with the care, maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of various Customer Aviation buildings and properties. Schedules, directs and oversees all Facilities Maintenance personnel and sub-contractors to support daily airfield maintenance activities and operations as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop, establish and implement a standard operating procedures, plan of actions and statement of works. Coordinate general maintenance tasks and work orders in accordance with work schedules for normal weekly, monthly, quarterly work, weekend cleaning and facility maintenance as projected. Supervise the Inspection of the work of the staff to ensure work is properly performed. Supervise the inspection of building facilities to assist in identifying building maintenance requirements; identify and report building maintenance requirements and needs. Synchronize the daily general maintenance tasks which include but are not limited to the following: custodial services, a variety of semi-skilled work in maintenance, repair and minor upkeep of various buildings, minor carpentry, plumbing, filter and light fixture maintenance, electrical, painting, landscaping, plaster, concrete and asphalt repair. Coordinate for customary and cultural refreshments and courtesies to Customer Leadership, guests, and dignitaries during conferences, meetings, and other events as directed. Coordinate for inventory and request supplies and materials in support of routine preventive maintenance and custodial functions. Interfaces with the Customer for metrics and feedback, guidance. Maintains time sheets for contractor personnel. Perform other tasks as required. Follows instructions of the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities: all flight line facilities maintainers and repair personnel, all facilities maintenance sub-contractors, grounds keepers and custodians supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Level: Associates degree or equivalent On the Job Training.

Experience: 3 years’ supervisory experience in facilities maintenance. 3 years’ custodial and maintenance operations.

Specific knowledge, skill, and ability: Knowledgeable in facilities maintenance and custodial operations. Knowledgeable in resource and time management.
