**Position** BATTALION TRAINING LEAD**Req Code** 3760-005**Location** KHASHM AL AN**Grade** V-46**Basic Functions** Responsible for Aviation on the job training (OJT) for the Aviation Maintenance Division supporting the aviation battalion. Develops training plans, curriculum, training aids use, training publications and courseware under the direction of the Aviation Maintenance Division Training Supervisor. Directs mechanic trainers and trainer interpreters in the use and standardization of training management systems. Plans and executes training and evaluation of customer maintainers in accordance with the customer requirements and US Army Aviation Training Manuals. Conduct academic and hands-on performance training and administer evaluations to ensure maintainers proficiency and standardization of training. Responsible for maintaining Individual Job Books, Automated Maintainer Training Files (TMS). Directly responsible for all aspects of training record keeping requirements and training reports for the battalion and contractor personnel.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**A. Duties/responsibilities:1. Leads the Battalion Training OTJ efforts and manages the Training Management System (TMS).2. Schedules classes3. Tracks individual progress4. Provides accurate and timely status reports5. Recommends changes to improve performance and efficiencies of all training programs6. Develops and maintains on the job training SOPs.7. Assists all trainers and course managers in meeting their program training requirements.8. Other tasks as directed by Maintenance Division Training Lead.B. Independence: Reports to the Aviation Maintenance Division Training Supervisor. Broad range of independence and to conduct or develop training program within division management guidance.C. Supervisory Responsibilities: As required to prioritize and standardize all maintenance battalion trainer activities.**Minimum Qualifications**A. Education Level Requirements:1. High school diploma or equivalent required.B. Experience Requirements:1. One (1) year in training management or technical training supervisor.C. Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Ability Requirements:1. Graduate of a US Military aviation course or civilian equivalent2. Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation3. Proficient in MS Office software4. Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills5. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner6. Possess a valid US issued drivers license and passport7. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.D. Desired/Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:1. It is preferred that applicant have experience in aviation maintenance field operations and completed a course of instruction for maintenance instructors at an authorized Aviation Proponent School or civilian equivalent2. Associates Degree or equivalent training and experience3. Experience as a platform instructor4. US Army Training Development Capabilities Course5. US Army Instructor Trainer Course
