IntroductionWork independently and collaboratively as part of a team that delivers healthcare analytics and consulting services to large U.S. based employer and health plan clients. Responsible for task leadership and sub-task management on small to mid-size projects and proposals.Your Role and Responsibilities+ Runs, analyzes and executes analytic methods using IBM Watson Health's proprietary database to support client actions and decision-making using basic skills in statistics and database management.+ Designs analytic projects including estimating effort.+ Assists with the final development, documentation (and potentially presentation) of analytical results to U.S. team and/or client.+ Completes quality assignments on time and manages sub-tasks within budget.+ Produces standard report packages on an ongoing basis to support client needs.+ Displays an understanding of healthcare and claims data+ Handles user questions independently (e.g., client inquiries, requests for ad hoc reporting assistance, miscellaneous research, advice on analytic methods and training) as well as communicates with the U.S. team and client end users.+ Conducts thorough self-review of all work as well as peer reviews.+ Mentors junior staff and fosters teamwork.Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ 2-3 years work experience in the healthcare industry (quantitative or consulting) which includes experience in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word)+ Strong analytical skills and basic skills in basic statistical analysis.+ Demonstrated ability to understand industry issues and problems, relate them to clients' needs, and propose appropriate solutions.+ Demonstrated ability to convey complex ideas in an easily understood manner through written or verbal communications.+ Strong project management skills.+ Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation and time-management skills.Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ 3-5 years work experience in the healthcare industry (quantitative or consulting)+ Demonstrated capability to use a programming language to query big data+ Has experience and knowledge of U.S. healthcare system+ Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or Applied Mathematics), or equivalent education and experience.About Business UnitIBM's Cloud and Cognitive software business is committed to bringing the power of IBM's Cloud and Watson/AI technologies to life for our clients and ecosystem partners around the world.
