Overview

Our team produces both organic and inorganic membranes for applications in ultra-high purity semiconductor applications. The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting all aspects of Membrane Manufacturing. You will work closely with the production team; driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase yields and efficiency as well as ensure quality and safety are built into the process at each step.



Responsibilities

  • Maintain presence in the manufacturing area to provide sustaining manufacturing support. Resolves day to day production issues. Drives issues to root cause.
  • Apply manufacturing best practices to drive reliability and predictability into everything we do.
  • Develop, lead and implement projects which improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives, such as; on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc. Work with mechanics and other Engineers to define PM needs to ensure safety , reliability and efficiency.
  • Ramp, sustain and continuously improve new product lines. Help transition new products from R&D to Pilot and HVM following stage/gate process.
  • Routinely works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and valuation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Improve maturity of process data and apply statistical methods to develop a deeper understanding of our process with the goal of achieving higher yields and efficiency
  • Lead teams and implement projects through continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma with hands-on application – be an engaging floor practitioner.
  • Identify, test and recommend opportunities to improve legacy processes and upgrade existing equipment without violating change control requirements expected in the semiconductor market.
  • Understand the broader organization, and how this role fits into the strategic plan and overall direction.
  • Take the initiative to look for and take advantage of opportunities and take independent actions and calculated risks.


Qualifications

  • Minimally a bachelor’s degree in related technical discipline; i.e Metallurgy, Polymer Extrusion, Material Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimally 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing with demonstrated success in yield improvement and rework/waste reduction.
  • Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills. Must have ability to reach out, communicate and influence personnel at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to interpret data and apply statistical methodologies to drive improvements and implement SPC (Minitab, JMP or Camline software experience a plus)
  • Embraces and drives change. Experience in implementing Lean systems at the plant level (Lean or Six Sigma Training and/or Certification a plus)
  • Strong SAP skills a plus
