Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides skilled assistance to anesthesiology providers and leads anesthesia support team.

Responsibilities

Prepares IV, central lines, and sets up transducers. Assists with rapid infusion of blood products, processes blood specimens, and completes EKG tests.Sets up, primes, and calibrates various equipment. Completes and documents quality checks on various equipment.Assists with special procedures to include, but not limited to, line-placement, fiber optic intubation, hemodilutions, echocardiograms, EEGs and regional anesthesia.Assists in providing leadership to the department of anesthesia by providing direction for assignments and job duties for co-workers, completing audits as assigned, and ensuring clinical area is ready at all times for safe patient care.
