The Marketing Specialist for the Austin market will be the main point of contact for all growth-related marketing materials and requests. This person will support market-based initiatives for our clinics, our providers, our broker partners, and our community partners while also working to create and execute consumer-based marketing campaigns. The Marketing Specialist for the Austin market will partner with the enterprise marketing, digital, retention and communications teams to ensure requests are created, managed, communicated and completed. This role will report to the Marketing Growth Director for the Austin market. This is a hybrid role in the Austin that requires minimal travel, mostly in the market.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and managing creative service requests for the market
  • Create, develop and maintain relationships with growth-based team members
  • Partner with enterprise teams and other local marketing specialists to share and communicate best practices
  • Maintain the provider marketing database for the Austin market by partnering with the clinic-based account associates to gather information
  • Create a method to regularly communicate provider updates and information to the enterprise digital team
  • Optimize work processes for operational efficiencies
  • Responsible for implementing, measure and providing feedback on how to improve the growth operating model in assigned clinics
  • Support broker, clinic and community relationship-based growth strategies for the RGV market
  • Create, maintain and communicate status on requests
  • Support and share enterprise marketing campaigns/opportunities with the local teams
  • Understand compliance rules and regulations and CMS guidelines
  • Communicate compliance-based direction to the local growth-based teams
  • Ability to work onsite in an office environment in Austin, TX
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed for business
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in working in a marketing-based role; preferably with digital channels
  • Experience with proofreading and having an elevated awareness of details
  • Knowledge and/or experience in health care and/or insurance and/or another regulated industry
  • Proven track record of creating and optimizing professional relationship
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to work onsite in an office environment in Austin, TX
  • Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel within assigned territory and spend time in clinic environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed for business
  • This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SmartSheets, SharePoint and other project management tools
  • Experience in executing growth-related strategies
  • Knowledge of SalesForce or another CRM
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Understanding of marketing and broker channels
  • Healthcare marketing experience
