Christian Hospital is a full-service acute care community hospital located on 28 acres in north St. Louis County. Christian Hospital is noted for its excellence in heart services and lifesaving cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, breast health services, orthopedic/spine surgery, hyperbaric wound care, pain management, vascular surgery, endocrinology, gastrointestinal care, stroke care, nephrology, therapy, radiology, urology, pulmonary care and treating sleep disorders.

Northwest HealthCare, located six miles west of Christian Hospital, provides the community 24-hour emergency care, with Washington University Physicians and St. Louis Children’s Hospital providing pediatric services. Northwest HealthCare is also home to the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of full-service outpatient diagnostic and imaging services in a convenient setting.

The Surgical Services Department performs emergency, trauma, elective, in-patient, out-patient, and ambulatory/same day surgery. ASD also does pre-and post-procedure assessment and recovery of special procedures patients, and pre-procedure assessment of cardiac cath lab patients. Specialties include general surgery, orthopedics, GU, GYN, thoracic, ophthalmic, vascular, plastic, neuro, dental, ENT, endoscopic, cardiovascular, and podiatry.


Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides leadership and assists managers when necessary. Coordinates the materials acquisition process and the day to day management of materials for an assigned unit or department, including overseeing the work of inventory staff.

Responsibilities

Ensures necessary supplies are available to provide quality patient care.�Ensures smooth day to day operations of inventory function for various departments.Oversees inventory staff job duties and maintenance of supplies and equipment.Oversees ordering, supply, and equipment functions to ensure all needs are met and all areas are covered.Assesses departmental cost containment and contract compliance as it relates to inventory and product selection.
