** Mammography Registry is Required**
- preferred 5+ years of Mam experience, will consider less -
- Knowledge of Breast Pathology -
- M-F 7am-330pm or 8am-430pm
- A couple Saturdays a year
- No Call! No Holiday!
- Covers Breast Imaging Exams
- Follow up Reports
- Prepares patient and equipment procedures
- Licensed RT (R) (M)

The Joanne Knight Breast Health Center/Mary Lee Hermann Breast Imaging Suite at Barnes Jewish Hospital and the Alvin C. Siteman Cancer Center provides state of the art Breast Health Services to the entire catchment area served by the Siteman Cancer Center. Asymptomatic women aged 40 + receive screening services. Women and men of any age receive diagnostic workups for breast abnormalities and problems. Services provided include full field digital screening mammograms and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, minimally invasive core biospy (done by ultrasound or stereotaxis), cyst arpiration and breast. needle localizations. All examinations are performed by Certified Radiologic Technologists who are Registered in Mammography by the ARRT. Examinations and special procedures are interpreted and performed by dedicated Breast Imaging Radiologists of the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. We collaborate closely with the Breast Surgery practice of the Washington University School of Medicine. Our Outreach Program, one of the largest Missouri, offers breast health services to underserved, uninsured low income persons.
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as MRI,CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catherization, and Fluoroscopy) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control. Coordinates continuing staff education, updates protocols and procedures, and maintains any necessary documentation.
ResponsibilitiesPrepares patient and equipment for procedures.Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.Manages the quality assurance process in compliance with the accreditation and hospital guidelines. Responsible for all technical aspects of the scanners such as updating protocols and ensuring proper function of the equipment.Serves as a liaison between clinicians and radiologists for all patient related needs. Provides support in managing and organizing patient care.Assists with organizing and maintaining continuing medical education requirements for all staff technologists and coordinates the education of staff on all current and new proceduresBJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
