Works with the Staff Perfusionists and Director of Perfusion to provide clinical services and patient care within the scope of practice at the departmental level; accountable for ensuring that clinical practice, and technical and clinical education and research are conducted with UPHS standards. Assists with evaluation of equipment and techniques for implementation into clinical practice. Works with Staff Perfusionists and Director of Perfusion to meet the human and material needs of the department and institution, on a short and long term basis. Serves as a resource for clinical information. Assists with QI functions within department.

1. Must be available to work variable hours and shifts to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

2. Must be available to take call as assigned. Physical response time to hospital should be within 30mins.

3. Ability to cover clinical duties within UPHS, to meet staffing requirements.


Requirements:

Must have CPR

High School Diploma and previous medical experience
