Under general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Operations Assistant & Trainer - Field Based will travel to pharmacies within the specified territory to perform appropriate operational tasks to enhance workflow of the pharmacy.

This is a field based position with up to 80% travel. Territory will include all Genoa locations in state of Oregon and Idaho.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing system, including the pharmacy computer programs and packaging options
  • Demonstrates knowledge of medication preparation for dispensing including compliance packaging
  • Assists the pharmacy employees with communication with insurance carriers and state billing claims issues
  • Performs pharmacy housekeeping tasks and all other pharmacy technician procedures
  • Assists other pharmacy employees with implementation of existing business with technology provided
  • Aids in establishing and training of appropriate procedures for growth of prescription volume
  • Demonstrates knowledge of business practices and general operations of pharmacies within region
  • Able to travel regularly within specified region
  • Exercises tact when dealing with mental health patients and being sensitive to timing, situations, and confidential relationships
  • Assist with pre-opening tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician license in the state of OR
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency in understanding prescription medication directions and terminology
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to train and teach others
  • Extensive travel (up to 90%)
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.
