Additional Information About the Role

In this role you will complete wellness checks on clients daily. To prompt clients to have a successful independent living in a group home. You will work with clients with mental health diagnoses, low-income and desire to live in their own apartments.

  • Location – St. Louis, MO 63111.
  • Idea Skill Set – Excellent communication, abilities to resolve conflicts, good listener, empathy, pay attention to details, teachable and non-judgmental
  • Job Responsibilities – Complete daily rounds, prompt clients to take their medications, remind clients of their doctors’ appointments, encourage clients to reach their goals, prompt clients to clean their apartments, advocate for clients
  • Typical Day – Coordinate client care with team members at the beginning of shift. Complete daily rounds by seeing clients Face to Face in their Apartments. Assist clients as needed. Document all visits same day of services in the system

Every Saturday and Sunday 3p-11p and 3 weekdays 3-11p (flexible on days)

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Fran�ois, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Role Purpose

Responsible for assisting with direct resident care under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

Responsibilities

Performs assigned patient care activities and assists nursing team.Observes residents for psychiatric stability, assists residents in meeting their established goals, and coordinates with community support staff and residential services team.Helps residents maintain and improve their housing skills by assisting in meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning.Documents care provided as outlined by clinical supervisors.
