This Product Manager will establish and drive the Surest roadmap for the capabilities needed to operate a health insurance benefit from the provider and pharmacy perspective. The lead product manager in concert with the Technology and Product teams will be responsible for the design, delivery, and maintenance of the tools and processes that support the member experience at Surest.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define and orchestrate the strategy and investment in the Surest Service functions, including but not limited to, Member Service and Clinical
  • Lead a team of Product Managers in execution of your strategy to scale operations, improve quality, leverage AI/ML, and integrate with the Member App to deliver first class, industry leading, scaled service to our members
  • Lead the design and development of the technology assets needed to support service teams by scaling integrations with third-party vendors, leveraging internal tools, and engaging with the associated process changes
  • Build a strategic roadmap with clearly defined milestones and success metrics with team and in coordination with other teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery
  • Partner with Technology teams to contribute to continuous product and platform improvement process
  • Work with peers across Surest and across the United enterprise to ensure capability and process alignment
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment discussions for complex data structures and management to ensure a single source of truth concept definition
  • Communicate and coordinate tool and process updates with Product and operational partners
  • Drive Agile development practices, including writing user stories and prioritizing the product backlog
  • Define, measure, and analyze product performance to solve issues, improve efficiency, and increase automation

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5+ years of experience working in Health Insurance Product Management
  • Experience working in the Agile Development Framework

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading design and development of a technology product that serves the health industry
  • Experience working in a continuous delivery / DevOps model
  • Knowledge of Lean practices e.g., developing Lean experiments
  • Unique balance of disciplined analytical thinking, creative passion, and a willingness to be hands-on
  • Solid personal drive to continually re-invent and evolve the current state of product design and development and operations
  • A passion for a data-driven culture
  • Ability to guide and influence a cross-functional team
  • Ability to adapt styles to the objective at hand - knowing when to apply pressure, knowing when to compromise to keep development moving forward
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $113,500 to $218,100. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $113,500 to $218,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
