Receives operational direction from RN and LPN Manager. Works cooperatively with care team, supports the vision of the Positive Patient Experience (PPE). Provides appropriate quality patient care, utilizing customer service skills throughout the patient care continuum. Collects pertinent patient data and coordinates with provider and team for appropriate patient intervention. May adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to meet moderately complex requirements of the position.

M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm - Could float to Eastern Ave and Sienna
Gastroenterology Clinic

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collection and document of patient information to include vital signs, chief complaint, review of medications, allergies, health risk screen information, status of extended care benefits and other services
  • Assist with phone calls and messages. Document all calls and actions taken
  • Participate in monitoring patients with chronic disease and extended care benefits including verification of eligibility and status of services
  • Anticipate provider needs to patient exam or treatments
  • Provide clinical intervention such as drug administration, treatments, and procedures as ordered by provider and within scope of practice
  • Assist RN with the coordination/completion of patient care plan
  • Assist co-workers with duties when requested to include, but not limited to, floating to other areas
  • Compliance requirement such as laboratory QC management, waive testing, maintenance of crash cart/e-kit and narcotic count as well as other requirements dictated by clinic needs
  • Maintain required licensure and certification
  • This LPN will support DAC directly, schedule procedures, provide vaccine coverage for MA’s when they are out and assist in customer complaint resolutions
  • LPN is also responsible for assisting standard rooming when coverage is needed, standard cleaning, 5S of exam rooms and supplies
  • LPN will work prior authorizations related to the surgery center and Summerlin Hospital, voicemails, medication refills, and patient education on procedure preps
  • LPN is expected to works 350+ tasks per month and engage in weekly DAC appointments
  • LPN will also assist with supply ordering and clinic auditing
  • assist in customer complaint resolutions
  • Other LPN will be responsible the above listed requirements and support a provider one to one while assisting in their task completion

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and/or equivalent
  • Licensed Practical Nurse with active unrestricted Nevada license
  • Current BLS

Preferred Qualifcations:

  • 1+ years of LPN or patient facing experience
  • Spanish speaking
  • Computer skills, window-based applications, and organizational skills

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $20.00 to $35.53.
