Are you ready?Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIBM Watson Health is currently looking for an experienced leader to join the Government Health and Human Services Federal team in support of healthcare innovation within the federal government and experience working for or with Operational Divisions of Health and Human Services (HHS) such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Administration for Children and Families, the Administration for Community Living, Indian Health Services, Health Resources Services Administration, or the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration.Overview of JobThe Healthcare Transformation Leader position provides subject matter expertise and direction to support development of business and current contracts within the IBM Watson Health Federal Consulting Group. The candidate serves as a leader to solve healthcare challenges for federal HHS programs, information technology to support program and performance, knowledge of social determinants of health (SDoH), adverse childhood events (ACEs), and evidence-based, data-driven decision-making. Candidate provides subject matter expertise and oversight to complex projects and engages with multiple stakeholders including senior-level state and federal officials, professional association staff, and health system leadership. From a relationship and business growth perspective, candidate will be responsible for developing new client relationships, attaining new contracts, and broadening IBM's work in bringing innovation, coupled with deep subject matter expertise and technical assistance experience to federal program implementation, analysis and systems infrastructure. Candidate has a proven track record of developing strategic direction, policies and contracting strategies for large organizations. The candidate is a leader who can build on the energy and momentum of a growing team.Essential Responsibilities:+ Leverage existing relationships to promote IBM Watson Health subject matter expertise and offerings to federal clients+ Identify opportunities, develop solutions, and respond to proposals from our federal clients+ Leverage subject matter expertise on current projects/contracts+ Demonstrate knowledge of health insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare, health care payment methodologies, and federal regulations+ Collaborate with clients to promote healthcare system transformation through value-based purchasing arrangements, data analysis, population health, social determinants of health, and health disparity strategies+ Set, direct, communicate, and review tasks with team+ Manage complex projects to ensure work is completed within budget and timeframeSuccessful Candidates will possess:+ 15+ years industry experience in health research analysis, epidemiology and/or policy expertise including strong analytic skills, health policy research, government healthcare delivery systems (e.g. FQHCs, Veterans Health Administration), health plan or similar discipline+ Experience driving change to meet organizational goals+ Experience developing and presenting program recommendations and proposals to health care agencies and authorities+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings to non-technical audiences+ Highly motivated, with demonstrated success working as a team leader in a fast-paced interdisciplinary environment+ Strong business acumen - well regarded within health policy, research, and/or consulting environment(s), with experience working within or on behalf of major federal agencies, along with ability to manage resources strategically.+ Experience attaining revenue targets, and managing multiple, complex projects and adept at business development (demonstrated success achieving individual new business development goals)Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ At least 15 years industry experience in health research analysis, evaluation and/or policy expertise including strong analytic skills and advanced degree (masters) in economics, health policy research or similar discipline+ 10 years of experience leading the design and execution of projects and policy studies and managing a team of staff through execution+ 5 years' experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid claims and encountersPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Experience working for a state Medicaid agency or health plan, preferredAbout Business UnitIBM's Cloud and Cognitive software business is committed to bringing the power of IBM's Cloud and Watson/AI technologies to life for our clients and ecosystem partners around the world.
