Positions in this function provides support for EHS activities for WellMed, USMD, and Optum Florida. Facilitates gathering and tracking of EHS data in various computer applications. Supports EHS Specialists in their management of compliance programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gathers and maintains EHS data and facilitates reporting of data
  • Assists EHS Specialists with program document updates and related communications to the Enterprise
  • Administers SharePoint site for EHS, keeping data and files up to date
  • Assists with tracking completion of activities and reporting of status
  • Responds to telephone calls and e-mails for EHS support, ensuring steady communication with customers. Escalates issues to management when necessary
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (Four or more years of related facilities or EHS experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)
  • Current driver’s license
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Computer literacy to include MS Office applications
  • Ability and willingness to travel (25%)
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ServiceNow application
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety experience
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and/or Smartsheets
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS SharePoint
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work
  • Ability and willingness to work irregular hours on occasion

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 50 pounds of force
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery
  • Ability to properly drive and operate a company vehicle
  • Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
  • Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
