The Information Solutions Group (ISG) is an internal IT Business team that provides data and application solutions for the UHC Underwriting organization. Our mission is to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of people in the organization by making relevant information accessible in ways that are simple, accurate, timely, and cost effective. Within this larger group, our Application Solutions team develops data extraction & presentation tools in support of the reporting needs of the various Underwriting and Pricing teams. We have a very close relationship with the business we support as many of our team members have experience working for the business in the past. This close relationship and understanding enables us to anticipate future needs and nimbly collaborate with our stakeholders to craft and implement solutions.
In this role as a Report Developer on the Application Solutions team you will primarily be involved in developing reports used by a team of UHC consultants and nurses that work with customers to identify, quantify, and resolve healthcare issues impacting their populations. The report developer will be collaborating with ISG team members in an agile environment, with opportunities to work on various projects as demand and capacity arise. It is rewarding work, as the solutions we provide both enable and quantify the meaningful impact UnitedHealthcare can have on a member’s health.

- Design Excel-based report outputs based on collaboration with UW and Reporting team members
- Lead conversations with these customers in defining report business specs
- Develop associated data extracts to populate the report output templates using various relational database sources and SQL processing

- Experience working with claim and eligibility data and understanding of health care reporting concepts
- Advanced Excel skills including use of complex functions and formulas, pivot tables, complex charting, and data visualization with some VBA automation experience
- Excellent SQL skills, including proficiency in utilizing subqueries and complex case logic
- Excellent math skills necessary, including basic statistical concepts

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $72,800 to $129,900.
