We have a wonder opportunity at Parkland Health Center to work as a Surgical Technologist. Parkland Health Center's Surgical Services has 2 Endoscopy Suites, 4 Major OR rooms, and 1 Minor Procedure room. We do a lot of outpatient services. Our Core Services include endoscopy, general surgery, ENT, OB-GYN, orthopedics, ophthalmology and urology.
- 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- On-call 1 day/week and 1 weekend/month
- Must be within 30 minute response time for call back
- Up to $12,500 Sign-on bonus eligible

Parkland Health Center includes two locations in Missouri — a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington as well as a three-bed critical access hospital in Bonne Terre. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri.
Parkland’s Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, geriatric psychiatry and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services including oncology services, an infusion center, a wound care clinic, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. The Parkland Bonne Terre campus includes emergency services, inpatient services for patients meeting specific criteria, and a sleep study lab.
�The Surgical Services Department provides pre-op and post-op inpatient care to those patients undergoing specialty surgical procedures in the areas of abdominal solid organ transplant, vascular surgery, hepatobiliary, trauma, ear-nose and throat, and orthopedic procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities
Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.Minimum Requirements
