Summary:

  • The Project Manager serves as the HUP breast cancer program accreditation coordinator to ensure compliance with the Commission on Cancer’s National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. Responsible for managing the overall project and program lifecycle by managing the program/project budget, development and management to the plan, coordination with hospital departments and staff, risk assessment and mitigation and problem resolution. Ensures the completion of programs/projects within budgets and project plans and the integration of these new systems with existing clinical, administrative and financial systems. Collaborates with all medical staff, healthcare providers and various facility departments to maintain breast program components and ensure meeting of the NAPBC standards. In addition, the PM will oversee assigned projects coordinating quality data analytics and applications teams, outsourced system functions, external consultants and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects and requirements for accreditation readiness, working collaboratively with the UPHS cancer registry for data collection and submission in accordance with the established standards, policies, and procedures of the Commission on Cancer NAPBC. Develop and communicate a vision for achieving and maintaining NAPBC accreditation for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
    · Develops and implements policies and procedures for breast care services as outlined in the NAPBC Standards
    · Ensures and monitors the integration of a multidisciplinary breast care team Implements and monitors a continuous quality improvement program for breast patients
    · Regular assessment and monitoring of clinical outcomes
    · Identify the gaps in service and evolving needs within the program. Provide regular status reports to the service line and senior leadership and offer recommendations for resolving issues and achieving continual program improvement
    · Prepares the Program Review Questionnaire (PRQ) on a triennial basis and prepare the breast program for re-accreditation

Credentials:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
  • Education Specialization: in Healthcare, Finance, Business Administration or Management Field Equivalent Experience: •And 7+ years
