Hours:

o 7:30 pm – 6:00 am (we have a little flexibility on the hours. Meaning we could do a 7:30 pm – 6:00 am, an 8:00 pm – 6:30 am or an 8:30 pm – 7 :00am)

o M-F and rotating weekends- 10 hr shifts

Role Purpose

The Health Information Management (HIM) Technician ensures the accurate and timely collection of clinical documentation that is generated during patient care and treatment. This position ensures the integrity of the medical record and that the appropriate documents are included in the medical records.

Responsibilities

Evaluates record content to ensure the integrity of records, as required by regulatory agencies.Retrieves, scans and indexes medical record documentation to the electronic medical record; ensures quality and accuracy.Investigates and resolves medical record exceptions; ensures completeness and accuracy of electronic medical records.Ensures timely medical record completion in support of compliant coding / billing practices.
