Position Highlights

  • Performs age-appropriate audiology assessments, evaluation, and treatment for primary care patients
  • Performs hearing as well as habilitative and rehabilitative services for auditory problems
  • Determines range, nature and degree of hearing function related to patient’s aural communication needs using electro-acoustic instrumentation, such as pure tone and speech audiometers and acoustic middle ear equipment
  • Works with physician and patient with medically treatable hearing loss, pre-operatively and postoperatively as well as diagnostically
  • Plans, directs, conducts, and participates in conservation, habilitative/rehabilitative programs such as hearing aid evaluation, fitting and orientation counseling
  • Maintains accurate patient records noting appropriate background information, patient treatment, responses, and progress. Provides written reports, progress notes and recommendations as needed
  • Maintains current calibration and sound level meter records of all equipment and environment
  • Provides evaluation and follow up to industrial hearing, conservation program
  • Identifies differential diagnosis
  • Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings in the history and hearing exam to establish a diagnosis

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Audiology
  • Unlimited Licensure in the state of Massachusetts
  • Certificate of clinical competence-Audiology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a Team Care model
  • Fluency in EMR systems & technology
