Positions in this function is responsible for the coordination and completion of multiple enterprise/cross-functional initiatives, programs, and/or projects across various functional areas. Provides subject matter expertise in areas including strategic framing and thinking, cross-functional alignment, change management and program/project management skills.

You will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Must be able to work central time business hours

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Anticipates the needs of the business and adapts plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
  • Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement
  • Resolves business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines
  • Product, service, or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple functions and/or markets
  • May oversee work activities of other supervisors
  • Motivates and inspires other team members
  • Strategy development
    • Serve as thought partner to executive sponsor for multiple cross-functional/enterprise initiatives to identify and analyze business opportunities (vision/objectives, process, organizational alignment, stakeholders, outputs, etc.)
    • Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues and influences or provides input to solutions
    • Drive progress against setting the team direction, resolving problems and communicating the right level of information to relevant stakeholders
  • Initiative management, execution and organizational change
    • Accountability and ownership of initiative progress, including initiative/program/project management (establishing clear operating model, developing and managing scope, managing timelines/resources/dependencies, etc.)
    • Organizational change management, including identifying gaps, risks and changes needed for the work and developing appropriate mitigations and plans against them with stakeholders
    • Tactical support, including calendar management, facilitating meetings, tracking action items, drafting and editing status reports, and driving content development (PowerPoints, presentations, whitepapers, etc.)
  • Stakeholder management and communications
    • Demonstrates leadership in the ability to cultivate internal and external relationships
    • Identifies and brings in key stakeholders at the right points throughout the initiative development and execution
    • Raises awareness of any misalignment or misunderstanding of project scope and objectives with applicable stakeholders
    • Drafts, edits and distributes key communications to relevant stakeholders, including at an executive level
  • Effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
    • Demonstrates ability to navigate ambiguity to work on discrete ad hoc projects based on the needs of the team and/or the organization

Competencies

  • Strategy development/framing experience, including experience leading strategic efforts or engagements to drive organizational change
  • Project/program/product management experience and capability to lead and contribute to multiple complex, cross-functional and highly visible initiatives/projects
  • Solid interpersonal skills with executive presence and ability to manage up to course-correct, mitigate relationship barriers/pain points, partner effectively with executive sponsor(s), and bring stakeholders along the journey in a meaningful way
  • Solid communication skills with key stakeholders, building relationships and communicating effectively, timely, and with clear intent
  • Business acumen to quickly understand C&S business, operating model, and business strategy to connect initiative in a meaningful way
  • Self-motivated and comfortable navigating ambiguity to drive consistent, constant clarity and progress against initiative

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate strategy/strategic planning, process design, and/or management consulting
  • Experience working with large, matrixed organizations with a high degree of organizational change, growth and ambiguity
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
