The Associate Director of Marketing will own responsibility for the development and execution of marketing strategy for Optum/Vivify Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) system. This role will be laser focused on driving accretive value for the organization. This leader will be adept at understanding how value is created in a heavily matrixed, Fortune 5 organization and will seek ways for Marketing to create, drive and demonstrate significant value.

As the leader of the Marketing team, you’ll lead a team responsible for coordinating marketing operations and best practices across the product portfolio. You’ll also formulate and review corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for the pan-Patient Management ecosystem.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop an end-to-end marketing strategy for the Vivify RPM product suite in collaboration with business leaders including the CEO, Chief Clinical Officer and VPs/heads of product and account management and growth, in matrixed relationship with corporate Optum marketing
  • B2B product marketing campaigns: proactively develop integrated marketing engagement programs that support new business development opportunities (lead generation) as well as engaging existing clients to build client loyalty (retention). Develop confidence of the business leadership by working closely with the product and sales teams
  • B2B Marketing target persona development, journey mapping, messaging, positioning, and content development. Create and maintain marketing asset framework and architecture and lead the development and management of content including collateral, presentations, videos, and demos
  • Manage, build, and lead a solid team by coaching and developing existing members and closing talent gaps where needed
  • Create marketing material in compliance of the Quality Management System SOPs; collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., product, legal and regulatory affairs) to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Develop, measure and report key marketing performance indicators (e.g., KPIs). Prepare and communicate executive-level updates with recommendations for improvement and growth
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for future growth by deepening understanding of the market, competition, business goals, and portfolio value propositions
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product portfolio, value-proposition, and business unit readiness for market execution
  • Work cross-functionally with the external communications, web/digital, social and audience engagement teams to identify available marketing levers, build, execute and measure the success of campaigns
  • Ensure marketing materials and programs adhere to established standards and guidelines
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, learning, continuous improvement, and innovation
  • Research, develop and seek opportunities to introduce best practices, new tactics, and channels to engage customers and prospects in new and appealing ways
  • Adhere to applicable external/governmental guidelines and requirements (e.g., legal, regulatory)
  • Revise and draft departmental procedures as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years driving bottom line B2B marketing results with demonstrated expertise
  • Healthcare industry experience, Medical Device and / or other regulated product
  • Focused B2B marketing experience including target persona and journey mapping, CRM & data strategies, content management, marketing automation, product marketing, digital marketing, account-based marketing, end to end campaign management and market research
  • Product/program launch experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, technology, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to establish solid governance and cross-functional operating models 
  • Success planning, executing, and measuring marketing campaigns for regulated products and services
  • Expertise using marketing analytics to continuously improve campaigns and ad spend

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA Degree
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to manage high performing teams Solution-minded with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Experience marketing FDA regulated product
  • Experience managing multiple programs and projects simultaneously
  • Multinational experience and able to work across global/regional/market settings or across product portfolios 
  • Experience with Salesforce and other SaaS solutions
  • Understanding of typical B2B sales processes, opportunity pipeline management and reporting
  • Possesses technical proficiency computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach to work; ability to leverage diverse perspectives to inform direction and drive results

  • Successful history leading marketing personnel of various levels, solid interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members
  • Comfortable leading, designing and facilitating meetings with senior leadership

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
