As a part of the Optum tri-state, Riverside Medical Group is seeking an Assistant Director of Credentialing to join our growing team. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff
  • Positions in this function are responsible for all activities associated with credentialing or re-credentialing physicians and providers.
  • Includes processing provider applications and re-applications including initial mailing, review, and loading into the database tracking system ensuring high quality standards are maintained
  • Impact of work is most often at the operational or local business unit or market level
  • Conducts audits and provides feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance.
  • Responsible for the development of credentialing policies and procedures.
  • May oversee primary source verification activities
  • Owns an end to end process
  • Develops functional, market level, and/or site strategy, plans, production and/or organizational priorities
  • Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems outside own team

Required Qualification:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
