Come build the future of digital at Optum. This role will be instrumental in delivering the foundational building blocks for the entire enterprise. These capabilities are what our consumer interact with every day such as login, search, scheduling, global navigation, etc. and these experiences should be consistent no matter what part of the enterprise the consumer happens to be reaching out to us. This role will need to work across all areas and levels of the organization is seeing a significant amount of investment to modernize the portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of people management, P&L management, relationship building, digital product management including setting clear OKR’s and a deep understanding of technical / data architecture. This is not a project management role although it will have some flavor of it to provide on-going executive updates.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Set overarching vision, strategy and multi-year high-level roadmap for the enterprise capability team, focusing on integrating experiences, optimization and innovation across all current and future digital Touchpoints
- Lead digital planning activities encompassing strategic planning through portfolio planning across complex, matrixed, omni-channel disciplines to provide a comprehensive and prioritized portfolio, roadmap that align with the set objectives for enterprise capabilities
- Build, augment and lead a best-in-class team to define and deliver solution-specific strategies and 1-3 year roadmaps
- Accountable for successful delivery of TFA defined solutions - with a focus on solutions being on time, on budget, with high quality and value, identifying and resolving risks and issues, integrating the experiences where applicable and incorporating learning's for continuous improvement
- Subscribe to Optum Product Methodology and business processes, providing input to further advance the discipline and evangelize across the team. This includes, but is not limited to, driving prototype development and piloting
- Champion and/or partner on business case development and ROI accountability for digital products prioritization, which includes analytics, testing results and post-launch reconciliation
- Define and ensure consumer and performance measures are appropriately in place and actively utilized by team to derive insights to advance the roadmap and share with the organization
- Optimize existing solutions utilizing consumer, performance and market data to enable multivariate testing strategies, capability and experience enhancements, data/content utilization and business process improvements
- Provide thought leadership and strategic input to innovate and deliver new ideas based on research of consumer behavior, the industry, and on technology advancement
- Maximize and effectively manage relationships with internal and external business partners to identify opportunities and support the development and delivery of solution offerings, modeling enterprise values
- Support senior leaders in the development and management of customer relationships and contracts
- Have direct accountability for the management of a budget supporting TFA Product team and its deliverables

Required Qualifications:

- 8+ years of experience developing and delivering Interactive/Web/Mobile experiences and marketing efforts for B2B, B2B2C and/or direct-to-consumer services-as-a-product
- 5+ years progressive people management experience, both direct and indirect, of teams of 4-5+ people
- Experience managing budgets of $10M and above
- Demonstrates sustained experience synthesizing information and thinking critically
- Mastery of complex consumer and business principles
- Demonstrated ability to exhibits a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness and works well with ambiguity
- Demonstrated financial acuity and proven ability to work effectively with finance teams to secure funding in support of identified strategic goals and objectives
- Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret key metrics necessary for solution improvement
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and motivate top talent
- Proven leadership skills with an ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels of the organization, both written and oral
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in a health related or business field, or related field Experience in other interactive and digital industries such as Financial Services or Retail
- Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Web/Interactive analytics experience
- Health care industry experience: provider, payer, medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar
- Demonstrated change management experience, helping an organization understand and adopt new ideas and new ways of operating
- Direct to consumer experience preferred with broad knowledge of user experience principles and digital channel best practices
- Advanced computer skills, such as Microsoft Office product suite experience, or similar
- Demonstrated ability to promote and gain approval for ideas and plans, both internally and externally
- Demonstated ability to fail fast, fail often mentality coupled with results focused drive for innovation
- Proven solid problem solving skills that enable quick identification and efficient resolution of issues

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $142,300 to $273,200. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
