Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Oversees all hospital and service organization communications ensuring each HSO has the communications expertise, guidance and skillset needed to help advance organizational goals. Ensures alignment and consistency of messages and programs across HSOs, in conjunction with system work. Responsible for assisting Executive Director of Communications in developing and implementing strategic communication plans for BJC HealthCare in support of our mission. Ensures system-wide communications strategies are deployed across the HSOs in an engaging and inspirational manner.

Responsibilities

Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.Leads the communication team members responsible for communications within the HSOs. Serves as escalation point of contact for communications at the HSOs.Oversees the development and implementation of strategic employee communications across the HSOs.Leads the development of HSO standard leadership meeting, board meeting and town hall content and tools to ensure consistency and alignment across all HSOs.Forges a strategic partnership and builds strong relationships with HSO leadership and client groups to support broad communication efforts including (but not limited to) strategic planning, crisis communications, etc.
