Additional Information About the Role
Looking for a Medical Lab Technologist with a fresh perspective to join our forward thinking Laboratory. We are open to all levels of experience, including new graduates! A registered MLT is preferred.
- Sign-On-Bonus Eligible up to $10,000
- Combination of 12-hour and 10-hour shifts; every third weekend night shift 12-hours. The other shifts will most likely be mid-shifts to earlier evening shifts (12-2000).

The Blood Bank department consists of the analytical testing area that includes the testing for blood type and the supply of all needed blood products for transfusion.

Role Purpose
The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) II (REG) performs specimen processing and routine / complex testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required. Demonstrates good laboratory practice
Responsibilities
Reports and maintains record of patient test results through the laboratory computer system accurately, meeting published turn around times for routine testing and stats.Documents patient test management problems/concerns on quality documents and initiates corrective action.�Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Monitors quality control performance and corrects any problems and or reports any problems to� the appropriate department.Operates all instrumentation in assigned areas to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results. Performs laboratory procedures for specimen collection, processing, test analysis.Trains new personnel in methods, procedures and use of equipment and instruments specific to the assigned area.Minimum Requirements
